Sarah Haines completed her Bachelor of Arts and Graduate Diploma in Psychology (Hons) at the University of Melbourne. After graduating, she worked at the Monash Alfred Psychiatry research centre, co-ordinating clinical trials investigating the use of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease, and Ketamine for Major Depressive Disorder. She is a support group facilitator for Eating Disorders Victoria, where she delivers psychosocial education and support to people experiencing eating disorders and their families. Sarah commenced her PhD in 2019 under the supervision of A/Prof Adrian Carter and Dr Michael Savic. Broadly, her research explores the use of surveillance and digital medicine technologies in the treatment of addiction and mental illness.
